Telling him that he arrived from Anvers; saying emphatically that he does not want to do anything for M. Carpier; complaining that Carpier made "magnificent offers" to Charles Hugo but did not even come to visit him; regretting that he is not able to satisfy Lemaître; stressing that he is disgusted with the theater and theater directors; assuring Lemaître that he still admires him.
